This year's theme for the Gaura Purnima Festival is the sacred, Mother Ganges River, flowing down Lord Caitanya's mercy on everyone in Kali Yuga. Dolphins swin about the cooling waters and Lord Krishna and His consort, Radharani, are the supreme nectar for the eyes!
Deity Worship is to help man control his mind and senses.
Reinforced with knowledge from the Vedic scriptures about the absolute truth of this material world, the devotee can link (yoga) his daily activities to service to Lord Krishna, the Supreme Personality of the Godhead, and leave this world of disease and death.
Thank you for the beautiful work by Bhranti dasi, Sranti dasi, Gandarvika dasi, Krishna Dhama dasi, and so many countless, high quality devi dasis who brought so much pleasure to the community of Vaishnavas putting on this festival.
Gopinath is a prayer and song sung by Bhaktivinode Thakur, an acarya in the Gaudiya Madhva Sampradaya.
