Descripción:I finally got around to compiling all the various video clips I had recorded during the summers of 2006 and 2007 at Lake Rawlings. The music (Fishtro) is from an artist that goes by Purple Motion from Finland, and is from a PC demo/invite from around 1992 era, much thanks to him for allowing me to use the tune (visit purplemotion.net for more info, and check demoscene on wikipedia if you are curious.) Dive buddies Patrick and Joe make appearances in the video. Confession - I almost didn't have enough footage to cover the whole song. I plan to cut a shorter version for HamptonRoads.TV. The video was taken with a Canon ELPH SD-550, not a camcorder. Lake Rawlings is a granite quarry, and has good visibility and is used by many dive shops for training.

Descripción:Gillian was in town for the Newport Folk Festival, and was playing some low-key unpublicized shows around Providence in the week leading up to her big performance. She popped into AS220 for this surprise show, and delighted the audience with the many songs that she and partner David Rawlings have crafted, including the song captured here called "Look at Miss Ohio." (note: Gillian gave us permission to document her performance and put it on the internet, so don't delete this, YouTube cops!)

Ghana's Third Republic is brought to a violent end in 1981 by rogue elements within the nation's armed forces. The Coup d'état was led by Flt. Lt. Jeremiah John Rawlings (born. 1947) of the Ghana Air Force.
In 1979 Rawlings had been freed from prison by Major Kojo Boakye-Djan and other junior officers after a failed mutiny. The subsequent coup resulted in the establishment of the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) with Rawlings as chairman.
