Sook-Yin Lee was the host of "The Wedge" which was a nightly 30 minute alternative music show. Her hosting coincided with Radiohead's worlwide accent. The show is now weekly 1 hour with no host. Radiohead have given the channel numerous exclusives over the years.
The first 7-8 minutes presented here of are of an interview done at SYL's house/apartment in Toronto. It's quite unusual for an interview to be conducted at such a venue.
Thom seems to really enjoy most of these interviews - unlike other shows where it looks like he'd rather be at the dentist.
I have heard several rumours of something happening between TY and SYL(physical relationship) during this time period. Through interview content and body language it easy to see they have a close friendship/bond. Thom is only publically known to have a long-term girlfriend in the UK from the early 90's - with whom he started a family in 2001.
I do find Thom's slightly more callous demeanor in the UK compared to the US curious. By the time of the May 2001 interview in the UK for Amnesiac it was known that SYL was quiting the WEDGE program. TY may have been annoyed that he was losing an ally in the media. This interview may be in Thom's house.
I included other clips to show that she has interviewed the band many times. This includes the usually quite camera shy Jonny Greenwood, who generally only does radio and print interviews.
He has since celebrated his 40th birthday. Bring on the Nike commercial, as promised!!!

Second single from "Amnesiac" (2001), by Radiohead.
Directed by Michel Gondry.
The whole video was shot in one take in the same set (quite remarkable considering the scene changes required).
Director Michel Gondry said the video was autobiographical, about himself and a girlfriend once he had. However, Thom Yorke said the lyrics were about cannibalism.
This video features Emma de Caunes as Thom's girlfriend.
The video tryed to interpret the surreal imagery and fit it with the song lyrics. Nevertheless, Radiohead vetoed this video from the Director's DVD release because it was about Gondry's personal life and loosely based on the song.
The song was developed during the 18-month Kid A and Amnesiac sessions, and it is legendary for supposedly "having taken 373 days to record". Although "Knives Out" is not similar to Radiohead's earlier rock style as featured on The Bends (1995), it is usually noted as one of the most traditional guitar songs the band has done since 2000.
