for those wondering how i got the sheet music. i listened to the hyrule symphony mp3 and figured out all the parts from that and put it in finale. i then added two sections (dungeon from link 2 and zeldas lullaby) and changed around some other stuff (like adding the full version of the original).

I just finished updating this medley (adding 3 more themes from WW and TP and fixing some small things) and am planning to have a video game concert on 11/15/08 at James Madison University showcasing the Zelda medley, the Final Fantasy medley, and the Mario bros. Descripción:Twin Solid State Musical Tesla coils playing the Zelda theme song.
The music that you hear is coming from the sparks that these two identical high power solid state Tesla coils are generating. There are no speakers involved. The Tesla coils stand 7 feet tall and are each capable of putting out over 12 foot of spark. They are spaced about 18 feet apart. The coils are controlled over a fiber optic link by a single laptop computer. Each coil is assigned to a midi channel which it responds to by playing notes that are programed into the computer software. What is not obvious is how loud the coils are. They are well over 110dB. Listen for the echo after the notes stop. These coils were constructed by Steve Ward and Jeff Larson. Programming and musical content by Steve Ward. A: Yes. Contrary to popular belief, early models of the ocarina have been around for thousands of years. The Ocarina as we know it today was invented in Italy in the late 1800's by a man named Giuseppe Donati. Ocarinas were popular in Europe and Asia WAY before LoZ: OoT ever came out...even though that's how I discovered them :)
